As a liquor store assistant, I take on a wide variety of tasks to keep the store safe and provide the best customer service to the best of my ability.

• Engaging in self-guided learning to ensure I have the most accurate and up-to-date information on products, and to provide higher-quality customer service.
• Recommended, selected and located merchandise based on customer desires.
• Engaged positively with each customer, providing professional, and polite support for sales and service needs.
• Maintained knowledge of sales and promotions, return policies and security practices.
• Performed daily opening and closing duties such as counting registers, setting alarms.

After hours, animal collection involved working independently during on-call overnight shifts; my role included the following:

• Ensuring that the paperwork for registering animals in the ShelterBuddy system is done accurately, as well as registering the animals with Animal Aid.
• Communicating with veterinary clinics and call makers after dispatching to ensure I get all the information I need regarding the job.
• Working independently for long shifts on call, and prioritising calls based on how many animals need to be picked up, animal aggression, and distance.
• Maintaining the on-call van to be safe and prepared for the next call out.

• As an Online Community Manager, I co-managed a team of 38 staff members and a community of almost 500,000 members.
• Our team was responsible for a wide variety of tasks including:
• Applying conflict management and de-escalation skills to resolve any conflicts between members, and stepping in when a staff member requests help in a high-tension situation.
• Managing staff onboarding and recruitment processes. This includes creating guidelines and documenting essential procedures they need to use.
• Coding bots and developing a high level of computer literacy, as well as improving my typing skills to ensure I can work efficiently.
