As Assistant Director and Room Leader for the Baby Room, I supported the daily management of the setting, ensuring compliance with the EYFS framework and safeguarding standards. I led a team of practitioners, overseeing curriculum delivery, children's developmental milestones, and individualized care plans for infants. In addition to my leadership responsibilities, I acted as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, conducted regular risk assessments, and fostered strong partnerships with parents. I also played a key role in staff development, mentoring colleagues, organizing training, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for both children and staff.

• During my employment at Tesco I mainly worked as a checkout operator, completing relevant checks, working with the public and creating positive professional relationships with staff and regular customers, handling of money, monitoring to minimise theft, working with the staff team to organise covering of shifts.
• During my time here I was always willing to work across the store and learn new skills.

With extensive experience in an Outstanding-rated Ofsted setting, I worked directly with children aged 9 months to 5 years, providing hands-on care and educational support. I completed developmental assessments, planned for individual children and cohorts, and highlighted any developmental concerns to the SENDCO. Promoted to Baby Room Lead, I drove room planning, staff development, and ensured quality documentation, including sleep and nappy charts, while fostering effective partnerships with parents. I also led the Nutrition and Oral Health initiative, promoting healthy practices and expanding children's knowledge. Additionally, I gained experience at the Forest School, enriching children's learning through outdoor activities like tool work, fire safety, and nature exploration. I continuously updated my professional development, holding certifications in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, and a current DBS.

As a Nursery Practitioner, I provided care, guidance, and support to young children during their early years education, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment. My key responsibilities included providing intimate care (such as nappy changes), completing developmental checks, and conducting termly summaries of children’s progress. I worked collaboratively as part of a team to ensure that all daily tasks were completed to a high standard. During this time, I gained experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. I decided to leave this role to seek new challenges and further broaden my professional experience.

• At Greggs, I was responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparing sandwiches, baking savouries, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Additionally, I had the opportunity to engage with and contribute to the local community, an aspect of the role that I particularly thrived in.
