Charlotte Boyd

Blaxland,NSW

Summary

My strong skills, knowledge, and passion for helping people make me an ideal candidate for this position. Throughout my academic journey, I excelled academically while gaining valuable practical experience, honing my time management, coping with stress, and resilience. I co-developed and co-facilitated an evidence-based, trauma-informed program in NSW primary and high schools for Nepean Primary Health Network (PHN), showcasing both my theoretical and practical knowledge learned throughout my degree. My role as a shadowing student enhanced my counseling skills as I observed client sessions and assessments, and contributed to case formulation and team supervision. As a disability support worker, I aided clients with physical and psychological challenges, demonstrating empathy and fostering their independence. As an administrative assistant at a psychology clinic, I aided clients face-to-face and over-the-phone with empathy and compassion, nurturing ongoing client relationships. I completed a Bachelor of Psychology and earned a First Class Honours at Macquarie University in 2023, during which I had the privilege of working alongside my supervisors, Professor Blake Dear and Dr Madelyne Bisby, whose guidance and knowledge have fostered my interest in researching responses to treatment for depression and anxiety for individuals with chronic health conditions. I aspire to pursue a career as a clinical psychologist, upholding the core values of unconditional positive regard, integrity, respect, and the highest standards of professionalism and compassion within the field of psychology.
