Work History

Curriculum Coordinator

Bambini Childcare
07.2024 - Current
  • As a Curriculum Coordinator, I have introduced and developed strategies to refine and define curriculum and activity plans in line with the outcomes of both the EYLF and VEYLDF. This has included creating strong, professional bonds with both Educators and families, in order to collaborate and develop play-based approaches in line with the children's needs. I have delivered ongoing professional development and coaching in the form of observations, team teaching and leading staff meetings whilst supporting with educational, behavioural and environmental factors.

Early Childhood Teacher

Kinda-Mindi, Alexandria
02.2024 - 07.2024
  • As an ECT, it was paramount that I employed a diverse range of teaching and play-based approaches to build on children's current learning and development. Alongside managing my staff team, it was essential to plan and deliver a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities in order to observe and thus adapt the environment to the children's individual learning styles.

Primary Teacher

Oasis Academy Broadoak
09.2023 - 12.2024
  • As a Casual Teacher it was vital that I was able to adapt to the school's teaching and learning policies, whilst adjusting my teaching approaches to suit the needs of the different classes/students I worked with each day. It was essential to the role that I was able to master new teaching/class management methods quickly and implement these successfully, to ensure the children made good progress against the Academy's personalised curriculum and assessment programs.

Primary Teacher

Gamesley Primary School
09.2014 - 09.2023
  • As a full time classroom Teacher, I was responsible for planning, assessing and implementing the expectations of the English National Curriculum to my class on a termly and daily basis in a creative and meaningful way. As an experienced Teacher, part of my role encompassed a subject lead across the school; this has included leading Mathematics, Phonics and P.E, alongside my classroom responsibilities. I was also expected to fully adhere to the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.

Experience

Throughout my career, I have experienced a broad diversity in academic abilities and educational starting points. In the UK, the majority of my teaching career was spent in one of the most socioeconomically disadvantaged areas of the country. Not only did this add significant depth and such an empowering aspect to my role, but I developed a thorough understanding of the true nature of learning. Teaching is about instilling excitement, curiosity and optimism for your future; it is this, possibly, that has driven my adventurous decision to continue my life and career, in Sydney, moving forwards. Outside of the workplace, I am a keen dancer and enjoy days at the beach.
