  • - During this placement I learnt valuable skills regarding pre operative and post operative care such as performing a pre operative checklist and monitoring the patient post operative recovery such as vital signs and monitoring for signs of infection or bleeding from the site.
  • - I gained knowledge on how to properly discuss medical issues, treatment plans, and any possible dangers related to surgery or other medical disorders with patients. This also entails offering patients who might be scared or apprehensive about their operation or condition emotional support.
  • - I gained expertise in recognizing and reducing patient hazards, including pressure sores, falls, and adverse medication responses, as well as putting in place the necessary safety precautions such as turning the patient, and performing skin checks on the patients.
  • - I gained knowledge on medication administration such as IV, oral, transdermal, sublingual, Intra muscular and subcutaneous injections. and how to accurately administer and manage these medication routes.
