  • We prepare the job site for the concrete pumpers to come in, we also figure out any twists and kinks along the way or even potential errors that may arise on site, the concrete trucks get there and we start shaping the concrete to the desired location, height, width and perimeter checks.
  • After a long day of standing around in the sun tired and sore, we start to close in on our final hours, at this time we start to finish off the concrete by using all types of different tools in a SAFE manner as many concrete tools are dangerous, and must be handled with care.
  • I am also in great shape and ready to conquer physically demanding roles I may encounter.
  • I have an extensively basic knowledge of tools ranging far into the other form of concrete known as panels. As well has being able to read large and sometimes complex plans.
  • I have a great work aptitude, and I pride myself as well as carry myself I'm my work and English skills.

  • After being accepted my role at spotlight, only a day after talking to them over the phone, I was initially thrilled to have been given this opportunity of work!
  • But after a month of hard work and disrespect I noticed that things were abit disorganized, missing products and there were constantly atleast 2-3 managers on store site at all times, often mixing up commands amongst each other, in result causing us team members to just be completely confused and in disarray by the end of day.
  • I often reached for the step ladder and long ladder to assist customers. I worked over tills and even in the sowing and household appliances department cutting the right dimensions for carpets. Etc.
  • I believe my job isn't to complain about management, it's to do the work provided to me, I left this field of customer service work as it was so stressful by the end that my work schedule was completely all over the place I was always In the wrong section of the store. Even tho I am following what my bosses are saying. So after the short term of working there I left like many others had already done.
  • This is the most amount of disrespect I've experienced in any job most of the products were never where they were meant to be, catching my own co workers placing things where they didn't belong.
  • Later I even noticed that safety may not have been much of a concern as the bathroom and outdoor work area had bits of ceramics and metal piping all poking out like someone had slid it in only half way. This remember fixing things up a few times like that.
  • This job taught me what it means to work with initiative and a strong work mentality. Spotlight also taught me to get the job done quickly and efficiently with no loop holes as I was cleaning up after so many people with that mentality.
  • I also had seen an almost complete rotation of new staff members like myself, and I began to start understanding why. So by the end of my time there I had seen no other option but to leave and find work myself. As none else but management themselves could help.
