  • For the first six months I was employed as a psychology allied health assistant where I implemented therapy plans with children and adolescents from ages 4-16. Therapy plans included wellbeing, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy programs.
  • I collaborate with other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team, maintain professional documentation, and engage in frequent professional development.
  • In July 2023, I transferred to the role of youth group coordinator where I keep program children safe and secure at all times with proactive monitoring strategies. I interacted with clients to assist in gaining insight, defining goals and planning action to achieve effective personal development and adjustment. I also facilitate group sessions to provide an interactive and supportive environment for clients to process experiences and learn new coping skills in a safe, supported, and inclusive environment.
  • I identified issues and opportunities to better serve residents and support organisation's mission by working with more complex clients either in individualised mentor contexts or social group settings to optimise the inclusivity of services local youth can access.
  • Additionally I coordinate logistics for meals, transportation and program delivery, monitor program performance and outcomes for successful delivery of services, and research best practices and develop strategies to improve program outcomes.
  • Over the duration of my employment with Early Links I have also consistently engaged in support work and peer mentorship with the Department of Communities and Justice.
