Summary

Since joining the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) in 2019, my roles have involved administration, human resources, financial management and strategic planning. My extensive experience includes a high level of support to the Director and Executive Management in reporting, auditory and budget requirements. After graduating my Bachelor of Justice majoring in Criminology and Policy, my drive work and grow within DJAG was prominent. I have built and extensive skillset and welcome new challenges in future employment as I am eager for my professional development to blossom. I am reliable and hard-working and work consistently in a fast-paced and changing environment. I am ready to bring a positive and enthusiastic outlook to this role as above everything enjoying my work is something I will always strive for.

Human Resource Management-

  • Managing the establishment of 102 FTE positions through QSS and Springboard. This includes temporary contract extensions, higher duties requests, secondments, work pattern changes, staff appointments and position modifications. Review fortnightly Establishment Report.
  • Conducting Criminal History Checks for new staff members through the HR Justice Team.
  • Advertising internal and external positions on Springboard and SmartJobs. Active involvement in hiring panels including coordinating and conducting interviews, reviewing selection reports and merit lists.
  • Assisting and supporting new staff upon commencement at the workplace. Ensuring appointment paperwork, Criminal History Checks, Start My Pay and Tax File Declaration paperwork is complete.
  • Workplace Health & Safety enforcer working closely with the Trained Safety Advisor. Working around policies to ensure a safe work environment. The designated Floor Warden in case of an emergency or fire.
  • Complaint Management Process as the sole administrator of all complaints throughout Queensland. Using the Complaint Management Policy to correctly handle complaints.
  • Travel Coordination through the QTravel online portal to book flights, accommodation and car hire bookings for staff whilst following Directive 01/23 Travel Directive.

Financial Management

  • Financial Budget forecasting and monitoring a $16M budget. Reviewing GL accounts, corporate card reconciliation, creating cost centres, managing own-sourced revenue and calculating predictions within financial budget.
  • Completing Payroll queries including salary & wages, part time work arrangements, superannuation, increment reviews and SARAS payments.
  • Managing Expenditure through corporate card monitoring and proficient SAP payments using GPEV forms and Vendor creations. Financial Management Practice Manual (FMPM) followed.
