Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of sustainable growth strategies for the Institute's business development and growth.
• Support the Executive Director in developing the Institute's strategy, performance indicators, and targets, aligning these with University, Government, and Regional Economic growth goals.
• Oversee business development initiatives to ensure priority bids are managed through structured capture plans aligned with CSU's research strategy.
• Secure and manage partnerships at national and international levels, engaging with industry, government, and community groups to identify and influence potential business opportunities over the short to long term and develop compelling value propositions for all bids.
• Oversee the commercial aspects of bid development, ensuring a consistent and sustainable business approach that meets client needs and supports Gulbali's revenue targets.
• Build, nurture, and maintain broad networks and long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and business leaders, serving as a vital interface to achieve the university's objectives.
• Manage major projects and funding applications, secure financial agreements for national and international bids, work with policy developments and liaise with government ministries to monitor priorities relevant to the Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support relationship development with the corporate sector, government, and other agencies to secure competitive research grants and contracts in alignment with the Gulbali Institute’s strategic plan.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to build a pipeline of business development opportunities, translating these into revenue and strategic outcomes for the Gulbali Institute.
• Assist in developing grant applications and tenders for business development opportunities, incorporating collaborations with a wide range of industry and government stakeholders.
• Apply financial and ROI modelling to support opportunity assessment, business case development, and the preparation of grant and tender applications.
• Ensure due diligence is applied to business development activities, including financial risk assessments, quality assurance, and compliance checks.
• Promote efficiency and client service excellence through strong presentation and business development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Led a multi-functional team responsible for council corporate planning, corporate risk management, strategy development, performance reporting, business improvement, and change management activities.
• Corporate Strategy leads the review, development, and engagement processes for AlburyCity's Community Strategic Plan and related strategies. It also develops and implements corporate strategies that align with council priorities and community outcomes.
• Performance Monitoring: Oversee the coordination of corporate planning, risk management, strategy development, and performance reporting activities to ensure alignment with council goals. This includes building performance frameworks and metrics to measure the internal and external success of strategies.
• Guide the business improvement and change management initiatives, ensuring continuous service improvements and enhanced organisational performance.
• Enterprise Risk Management : Led the implementation of Albury City's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including developing policies and risk assessments to manage corporate risk. To safeguard the city's operations and assets, we manage business continuity planning, emergency preparedness, and the insurance portfolio.
• Service Planning : Lead multidisciplinary teams in service planning reviews, business process evaluations, and developing solutions to influence organisational decision-making. Promoting business excellence using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to ensure alignment with corporate planning and performance targets.
• Lead Staff Engagement and Innovation Initiatives, implementing change management processes and fostering a culture of innovation. Coordinate developing corporate business plans and policies, ensuring alignment with community outcomes and engaging key stakeholders through workshops and meetings.
• Partnership Management: Build and nurture partnerships with state departments, community advisory groups, and other key stakeholders to support council initiatives and business improvement goals.
