I am writing to express my sincere interest in the Teacher Assistant - Design Tech position advertised at Suncoast Christian College.

In my current role as a Chaplain/ESO [Educational Support Officer], I work closely with educators and students in developing and implementing curriculum across a range of subjects. This experience not only honed my technical skills but also allowed me to witness the transformative impact that innovative teaching methods can have on students' learning experiences. A lot of the kids I work with here at Arethusa College have a high trauma background and can be extremely behind in their learning abilities. Over the last few years, I have worked with teachers to assist them in any way possible to help our young people learn through difficult situations. I respond extremely well with high stress environments and stressful situations. I have experience with assisting in both primary and secondary school age students.

My academic qualifications include a Diploma of Photography from Tafe QLD, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of design principles, photography, and the latest technologies in the field. During my coursework, I actively engaged in collaborative projects that required effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to evolving design challenges. My hands-on experience with design software, photography/design editing tools, and knowledge of Adobe programs positions me well to assist students in translating their ideas into design projects. Moreover, my passion for design and commitment to fostering a positive educational atmosphere align with Suncoast Christian College values.

As an ESO, I am confident in my ability to support lead educators in fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment. While I do not have any formal qualifications, my extensive experience in my current role/s has given me the understanding of what is required of me in an assistant role. I am also willing to undertake any necessary study that aligns with the teaching assistant position to ensure I am equipped to fulfil all duties.
