Entrepreneurial Sole Trader within the Family Day Care Sector. Currently running a highly successful Family Day Care service, in the Rockingham area. Diploma Trained Qualified Educator, who is dedicated to promoting and supporting the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and academic development of young children within my care.
I'm a compassionate, gentle, nurturing and organized individual with a deep understanding of the development, implementation and evaluation of individual learning programs, whilst providing an inclusive play-based environment for all ages of children. Throughout my career, I have established and maintained positive relationships with children under my care and their families, other educators, the community, as well as working closely with government supporting agencies to provide the highest quality of care.
Other valuable traits that I am known for include, being a collaborative team player, balanced with the ability to be decisive and directional where situations demand, as well as a strategic thinker who can translate ideas and concepts into action.
I have recently changed my perspective and career goals to suite a focus within the Mental Health sector, focusing mainly on supporting older children, youths and young adults with mental health issues / disabilities.
I am currently enrolled with South Metropolitan TAFE, studying Certificate 4 in Mental Health.
I myself as well as my daughter have been diagnosed with mental health and a disability. Having lived experience with both of these, has been one of the driving forces for my change in career path.
