As a law graduate with a focus on family and criminal law, I work in a dynamic legal practice that provides representation across both jurisdictions.
- My role involves supporting senior practitioners in all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. This includes conducting in-depth legal research on complex family law and criminal law issues, analysing legislation and case law, and preparing legal memoranda and advice for internal use and client consideration.
- I am responsible for drafting a range of court documents including Applications, Responses, Affidavits, Case Outlines, Chronologies, and Submissions for proceedings in both the Family Court and criminal jurisdictions.
- My role also involves direct client engagement attending client interviews, taking instructions, maintaining client contact throughout the lifecycle of a matter, and explaining legal processes in clear, compassionate terms, particularly in sensitive family matters. I attend court with counsel, taking notes of proceedings and providing immediate procedural assistance as required.
