Enthusiastic and hardworking culinary student. In Taiwan, gained one year of hands-on experience as an apprentice at a handmade cookie shop, where I developed a foundation in baking and attention to detail. Since moving to Australia in 2016, I have worked in a café for six months, performing food preparation, sandwich-making, and grill station duties. I also occasionally assisted in a French fine dining restaurant as a function kitchen assistant, gaining insight into high-standard kitchen operations.
Currently studying for a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and seeking a work placement in a restaurant environment. While a fine dining establishment is my ideal choice, I am open to opportunities in other types of restaurants that meet the work placement requirements. I aim to use this experience as a stepping stone toward building a long-term career in the culinary field. I am eager to learn, adaptable, and bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, punctuality, and a commitment to teamwork and detail-oriented work.
I also have valuable transferable skills from previous roles in logistics, construction, glass cutting, and administrative support, which have helped me develop resilience and a strong work ethic during my stay in Australia.
Outside the kitchen, I am a powerlifting enthusiast and recently participated in my first novice competition, with plans to compete in my first open event in 2025.
I look forward to contributing my skills and passion to a dedicated kitchen team while continuing to grow and improve.
