  • For ECMO case, perform daily routine care, e.g., monitoring vital sign of ECMO patient, trouble shooting, watch out for potential complications and risks. Also, prepare patient for ECMO insertion, including priming ECMO, assisting in cannulation procedure, weaning ECMO and decannulation. Prepare the patient to receive renal replacement therapy via ECMO circuit.
  • Assisting in advanced airway management e.g., Endotracheal intubation, percutaneous tracheostomy, bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage.
  • Taking care of patients who suffered from Neuromedical or Neurosurgical problems, e.g., Meningitis, Encephalitis, Status Epilepticus, Subarachnoid hemorrhage, Subdural hemorrhage, Intraventricular hemorrhage, Intracerebral hemorrhage. Assisting various related procedures, e.g., Lumbar puncture, CSF sampling. Providing post-operative care to patients with external ventricular drainage, monitoring Intracranial pressure and carrying out related care.

  • Assisting wound dressing for BURNs cases.
  • Assisting different kinds of medical procedure, e.g., MRI, CT, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA), Oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy (OGD), Interventional Radiography procedures, Endoscopic-retrograde-cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) etc.
  • Perform CPR for arrest patient.
  • Providing End of Life care to both patients and their relatives.
  • Explain patient condition and communicate with patients’ significant other.
  • Work as preceptor to guide new comer in ICU.
  • As a team member of Pressure Injury Team to promote prevention, intervention and advice on patient with or at risk for pressure injury.
  • Participate in CQI project of Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD). Aim to educate staff about IAD and increase the awareness of it.
  • Trained as clinical nurse in charge, in charge of daily operation in ICU. Supervise and delegate work to bedside case nurses and healthcare assistants.
