- The tasks I complete while working as an AIN include pressure area care, patient feeding, toileting, continence management, urinalysis, colostomy care, and indwelling catheter care
- Recording blood pressure, pulses, temperatures, and respirations
- Patient admissions and discharges, oxygen saturation levels, pain assessment scores, recording blood glucose levels, and monitoring levels of consciousness
- Accessing deep breathing and coughing, simple dressings, and infection control
- Over the past year, I have learned fire safety, disaster management, and emergency procedures
- Professional documentation and staff handover techniques (ISBAR).
