- In my current role as Operations Manager, I am responsible for the majority of freight work the company handles. As a small company and team, I work with our Customs Complier closely to ensure all client end-to-end services are completed expertly and efficiently. I am tasked with looking after anywhere between 35- 45 jobs at any given time (import/ export air & sea) which entails:
- - Compiling client information from various platforms to register in CargoWise; commercial invoice, packing declaration, government certificates etc.
- - Monitoring customs and quarantine status
- - Booking rural tailgates/ quarantine inspections
- - Developed systems and procedures to improve operational quality and team efficiency.
- - Paying port charges / monitoring telex/ procuring EDO’s and arranging cartage for both import FCL and LCL and AIR
