Accomplishments

I started way back in 1995 as a layup operator in FA18 (military program) and worked there for 5 years, being a strict program I adapted and performed well in my role, as the attention to detail was very important. I also worked for 1 year in other layup rooms 777 and Airbus..

My next destination was Autoclaves for 7 years where I got my Forklift licence and used it daily. In Autoclaves I did multiple shifts, mostly Day and Night shift, which showed my adaptability for change.

Then my opportunity came to become a Logistics Coordinator which I really enjoy. I started in despatch for 2 years, which was sheet metal, my roles were kitting and deliveries to paint shop. I also despatched parts to Bankstown. Unfortunately sheet metal closed and then I was transferred to 787 Fabrication for 4 years, I released work orders for layup and moved, scheduled work for each area (such as trim, NDT, Quality, edge seal, Paint etc.). I also help develop the EVB, which is a great tool that is used today for tracking parts in Fabrication and Assembly.

Due to my vast experience and knowledge I was then transferred to 777 Elevator Fabrication for 4 years, it was a new project coming from Bankstown, which the company was duel sourcing at the time. So I had to despatch and receive parts to and from Bankstown. I scheduled all areas including Ply cutting, layup, trim, striker plate etc. I also introduced EVB to 777 Fabrication.

My next change was back to 787 Fabrication, where my skills, knowledge and leadership qualities where required as the rate was ramping up, I scheduled worked in all areas including liaising with customers and managers daily, I also did Night Shift for Paint/Final.

My next move was MMO where I was the 737 Rudder Assembly coordinator for 1 year. After that I got moved MQ28 where we developed a better kitting area and was integral in the improvement required to kit more efficiently. In my MQ28 role I also dispatched product with Rec's and liaising with quality.

I then got moved back to 787 Fabrication on Afternoon shift, which I enjoyed the change of shift for many reasons..

After this adventure, I am now currently in MMO...
