I have 26 years of experience in emergency management, public safety, leadership, risk management and mitigation roles in public and private sectors.

My roles have given me extensive experience on the frontline on public and workplace safety. I take extensive measures to understand and gain professional knowledge of any discipline I am tasked with. I have built and continue to build professional relationships to assist me in achieving the highest workplace standards.

Executive Member and Company Director

Key Responsibilities:


  • Elected company director and board member responsible for the members of western New South Wales
  • Advocate for member welfare and safety initiatives, enhancing member trust and engagement.
  • Develop strategic policies addressing member concerns, lead campaigns and improving overall satisfaction and support.
  • Lobby and lead negotiations with Federal and State politicians and government bodies to secure legislative changes and resourcing.
  • Coordinated training workshops for branch members and update membership on company and operational direction.


Key Achievements:

  • During the 2024 Award campaign I was one of the led committee members that came up with the idea for record incentive payments for members in western NSW in remote locations. We lobbied Senior Executive members of the NSWPF and State politicians, clearly demonstrating the benefits of this proposal. As a direct result we were able to obtain the highest incentive payments to members. This was in addition to the highest remuneration increase to in the history of NSW Police.
  • In 2023 the PANSW undertook the "Back the Blue" campaign in relation to Police insurance scheme effecting members superannuation. We had very limited federal government contacts and I was able to lobby federal government ministers to assist our staff. In addition I was able to led and coordinate local members to be part of of media coverage. As a direct result I played an important role in convicting the state government to change the insurance scheme and its effects on members superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order.
  • Conduct investigations, gathering evidence and interview witnesses take appropriate legal proceedings and maintain constant customer/victim communication.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to enhance crime prevention initiatives and engage local regional community.
  • Train, Influence and mentor junior constables, providing guidance on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity, upholding the values and ethics of the law enforcement profession.


Key Achievements:

  • In November 2025 Uralla suffered a wave of criminal activity that resulted in business being broken into and Council property being damaged. I attended to and investigated each and every incident, utilising additional police from Armidale to assist. I was able to use my existing strong local relationships to gather evidence required. As a direct result I have prosecuted several person with over 20 offences. The information and evidence I gathered caused the additional police to prosecute two persons with about 8 offences.
  • In September 2025 as the senior officer at Uralla I responded to community outrage on a illegal tobacco retailer outlet in the town. This included briefing the Uralla local council and mayor, chamber of business of Uralla and many local community members. My experience and knowledge with these retailers is extensive, providing operational advice not only to police within the New England but across northern NSW.I was able to utilise my established relationships with other state and local government agencies, real estate agents and authorities to provide a co-ordinated and targeted response. As a result the illegal retail outlet was closed and the owner has legal proceedings taken against them, removing the risk to the township.

Crime Prevention & Licensing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the inspection and audit of liquor and firearm licensing applications and premises for compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintained up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Developed training materials for staff on crime prevention & licensing procedures and best practices.
  • Developed and implemented crime prevention strategies to enhance community safety.
  • Proactively engage with Local Councils of Armidale, Glen Innes, Tenterfield, Inverell, Gwydir and Moree to report and provide sound crime prevention through environmental design advice (CPTED) with Development Applications.


Key Achievements:

  • Over this time I was able to form a close and efficient working relationship with the staff from Planning and Assessment with the Armidale Regional Council. We had open and honest dialogue. I was able to write and submit expert reports on crime preventative measure, lowering or mitigating risks to developments. Some of our success was my initiative in lighting the cycle path with solar lights, and the mall redevelopment.
  • In 2023 we successfully incorporated the crime preventative strategy of "Banned from one, banned from all" on licensed premises in the Armidale area. The focus was to reduce the public safety risk of alcohol fuelled violence and to encourage licensed premises to be safer for families, the community and repair a poor reputation. This came after years of campaigning and educating the community and the local liquor accord. The success came with the implementation of the safety intuitive, massive reduction in alcohol fuel violence and local community support including through local media outlets.
  • In 2024-2025 I spearheaded the crime preventative strategies for all the high risk location in Moree during the start of operation Mongoose, a coordinated response to the high level of crimes in Moree. I undertook safety audits and provided recommendations to private and government agencies, including Moree Shire Council. i worked closely with the General Manager and staff, and assisted in the training of council staff on CPTED. The result was that over 15 audits were documented resulting in stronger crime preventative measures.

Health Safety Respresentative (HSR)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair Work, Health Safety Committee meetings, leading and presiding over meeting, ensuring orderly conduct, effective decision making, maintaining focus and representing NSWPF in WHS requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, investigations and write reports to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyse incident reports to identify trends and recommend preventive measures effectively.
  • Collaborated with PSBU/management to create a strong safety culture, fostering employee engagement and commitment to safe work practices and culture.
  • Enhanced workplace safety by conducting regular site inspections and identifying potential hazards.


Key Achievements:

  • In 2020, I researched and authored a detailed WHS risk assessment report on workers working in remote and isolate bushland with a high risk of lethal snake bites, which was tabled to senior executive of the NSWPF. The result is that every worker throughout NSW have snake guarders when undertaking this work.
  • I 2020 I attended Boggabilla Police Station as an invited HSR in relation to assist inexpreianced HSR's and workers injured as a result of thrown objects at police vehicles. The most recent incident caused injury to a female officers eye from broken glass. I conducted an investigation and after considering many options, recommended to the PSBU that all windows to police vehicles be laminated as a cost effective safety measure. To this day, all vehicles in this sector have lamented windows.
