Summary

I have been employed by Corrective Services since 1987 in both NSW and Victoria, in both public and private enterprise.

I was a substantiated Senior Correctional Officer in Victoria managing the Reception area of the Melbourne Assessment Prison, the High Courts of Victoria, which entailed being responsible for all inmates and up to 34 Officers daily. I participated in recruitment drives, public speaking, staff recruitment and the Training Academy before being deployed to the Solomon Islands as a Prison Advisor. During this 5.5 months secondment, the role entailed the recruitment of officers and training staff, and implementing policies and procedures for the Rove Maximum Security Prison. Since returning to NSW in 2009, I have conducted various courses and have worked in various prisons and specialised roles. Prisons, Courts, Acting SCO roles, Drug Court, Police Cells, Rosters, Sentence Admin, Reception, Sex Offenders Unit, High Security Unit and the Mental Health Unit.
