Christian Chatfield

Working for AMES as a Business Development executive (In Field) I am responsible for bringing to life well known Australian brands such as; Cyclone, Trojan and Nylex. This position is Bunnings only and I service a total 9 stores. As apart of my role I;

• Communicated directly with store staff and end users to build strong relationships and drive sales.
• Established and maintained highly effective relationships with stores to drive sales.
• Manage promotional planning and seasonality shifts with store staff to ensure were in-stock all year round.
• Execute new product rollouts.
• Contributed to industry events and trade shows to showcase products and build brand awareness.
• Assisted with new store openings and store refit projects where required.

Having worked at Bunning's for 7 years I've held various positions across multiple stores. I've worked in 4 stores presently, East Pakenham, Pakenham, Clyde North and most recently have moved to Fountain Gate. Throughout my tenure I've worked across the entire store in a variety of positions, this has given me the ability to build a strong foundation of a variety of skills.

Throughout my tenure, skills I've developed include;

• Project and refit delivery
• Team member training and on spot coaching
• End user engagement and trouble shooting
• Stock management and stock flow
• A strong adherence to safety
• Customer service

Whilst I'm still currently employed I stepped down from being a g4 (supervisor) in early 2022 to purse the position with creative activations but stayed on in a part time capacity working 1 to 2 days a week.

Looking after the south east VIC territory I was able to plant myself within stores after coming off the back of very busy Christmas. I have built strong relationships across my entire territory with floor staff and management alike.

Some key skills that i have worked to build and improve include;

• Managed a territory of 20 stoes
• Used coordination and planning skills to achieve and exceed monthly KPI's.
• Achieved, and in most cases, surpassed monthly sales goals by promoting features and benefits.
• Increased customer satisfaction within my territory by educating RSA's on Chromebooks and directly selling selling product whilst in-store.
• Developed and maintained rewarding relationships with stores within my territory.
• Trained and mentored new sales representatives.
• Onboarded new temps by conducting induction and entering new employee info into internal systems.
• Worked flexible hours across night ands weekends to best capitalize on direct sales opportunities.
• Boosted brand awareness, implemented promotional campaigns and employed sales tactics as part of territory development.

Working as apart of the wait staff at Parnassus Function Centre for a little over a year I was able to build strong customer service skills as well as time management skills offering a high class experience at a premium function venue. I always displayed enthusiasm and promoted excellent service to customers, successfully increasing referrals and walk-in business.
