I am currently employed as an Education Assistant – Special Needs with the Department of Education WA at Hampton Senior High School and previously in a relief capacity also at Lockridge Primary School and Mirrabooka Senior High School in their Education Support Centre since April 2014. Duties and responsibilities include:
Providing Support for students, promoting confidence and helping them achieve their full potential
Recording Student results and observations and providing feedback information to the classroom teacher and Learning Support Co-ordinator when appropriate

Exam Supervisor – West Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority and Mercy College
These casual positions as a WACE supervisor for the West Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority and an Exam Supervisor at Mercy College, Mirrabooka, required the general supervision of students during end of year, trial and WACE examinations. Dealing with students who are possibly under stress requires a wide range of interpersonal skills. Other duties included:

Certified Home Sustainability Assessor – Alternative Energy Systems, Perth
In the above stated position I was employed to carry out the Australian Government’s Green Loans Home Sustainability Assessments. This involved attending a homeowner’s property upon their request and conducting an assessment of the sustainability of a property through various measures and producing a report via the Green loans web site.
Unfortunately this initiative was shut down after only one year due an overwhelming response from the public not predicted or budgeted for by the Government.
Strata Manger, Urban West Strata Services, Mt Hawthorn, Perth
As a Strata Manager I was responsible for the administration of strata companies, including financial management, accounting of strata funds, (budgets, invoicing, bank reconciliation etc). Drafting and preparation of Annual General Meeting papers and Section 43 Certificates (necessary for the sale of strata property). I also co-ordinated the maintenance and repair of strata property, i.e. obtaining quotes and arranging contractors to attend and carry out necessary works. Other responsibilities included correspondence, data entry and liaising with owners, residents, real estate agents, property managers and Insurance companies assisting all with their concerns and queries. I resigned from this position to care for our youngest child, born a month later.
Sales and Distribution – Small Business Joint Owner, Naraman Services Brisbane and Perth
I assisted with the day to day management of business from our home based office whilst caring for our young children. The various duties I attended to included:
Marketing and sale of products for the steel frame housing industry. This involved selling to small business, corporate and individual contractors
Distribution and invoicing of products
Targeting of prospective purchasers and establishment of new clients. This was essentially a prospecting activity where I identified potential customers/users of the products

Legal Secretary, Corney Neumann Turnour, Solicitors Brisbane
Upon on our arrival in Brisbane I was employed as a Receptionist/WP operator with Corney Neumann Turnour, Solicitors. After four months I was promoted to a Legal Secretary position. The responsibilities of this position included the practice and procedures of conveyancing (settlements) and the drafting and preparation of various legal documents and business correspondence. I also assisted clients with queries, filing and data entry of time sheets. I resigned from this position to care for our first child born a month later.
Receptionist/WP Operator, Dwyer Durack , Solicitors and Barristers, Perth
The responsibilities I performed in the above stated position included operating a busy switchboard, filing, mail, handling client queries, the storage, retrieval and management of archive documents. I also performed Dictaphone typing of correspondence and legal documents. I resigned from this position to move to Brisbane due to my Husband’s work promotion.

I was also employed as a Census Officer for the 2011 Australian Census, this involved the distribution and collection of Census material and liaison with the public.
In 2001 I was employed as a Polling Officer with the West Australian Electoral Commission for the General State Election.
