  • Coordinate Elders visit to correctional center on a monthly basis and as required
  • Facilitate offender access to required legal services through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service including management of their visits and contact with their nominated legal representative
  • Contribute to staff awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoner needs
  • Case managing prisoners on Intensive Management Plan – Self harm, Transgenders and prisoners of concerns
  • Case managing/providing support for Indigenous prisoners with National disability Insurance Scheme
  • Cultural support for grieving of family members
  • Arrange prisoners to apply for leave of Absent and attend for support for CCO and families.
