Author Bio

Christine Keighery (who also writes as Chrissie Perry) is the author of more than 35 books for children and Young Adults. Christine wrote 13 books in the hugely commercially successful Go Girl!series for children 6+ (Hardie Grant Egmont). These books have been published in ten countries.

Christine’s middle-grade series, Penelope Perfect was published by Simon and Schuster, USA. It’s also in French Canada, Slovenia and Korea (2018).

In 2019, Scholastic Australia published her junior series, Blabbermouth.

Her YA title Whisper (2012) was shortlisted for the CBCA Awards and the WA Premiers Awards and won an IBBY and a White Raven award.

Christine’s short story for adults, Hydraulics, was a winner of the ABC Radio National Short Story Competition in 2007. Divide by Four was published as one of Jim Pavilidis’ Seven Stories; a concertina-fold artist book (2012).

Christine has appeared at numerous festivals including Voices on the Coast, Somerset, MWF and Ballarat. She is represented by the Booked Out Speakers and visits schools regularly to talk about writing and reading.

Her first novel for adults, a psychological thriller titled The Half Brother was published by Ultimo Press in 2023 and won a Davitt award for Best Debut Fiction.

Her second ramps up the pace even further. We’re Not Us Without You will hit the stores in May, 2025.
