  • • High volume and fast paced stage 1 post anaesthesia cares for adult elective or emergency procedures. Specialty experience and knowledge include but not limited to general, orthopaedics, obstetrics, gynaecology, plastics, dental, ENT, urology, vascular, spinal, scopes, ECT and Cath lab procedures
    • Airway management including in an emergency, pain management including following IV/PO pain protocols, patient haemodynamic management, managing arterial lines and ABG collections, oxygen therapy including high-flow, surgical drains management, surgical wounds observation and management
    • Adhering to surgical and anaesthetics teams’ post op care instruction and protocols
    • Recognising symptoms of patient deterioration, timely escalation to either senior staffs or medical doctors, familiar with resuscitation trolley and protocols. Familiar with PACU emergency response procedures including laryngospasm, PPH and Anaphylaxis
    • Supporting healthy working environment, adhering to patient safety protocol, complying with hospital policies and maintaining situational awareness
    • Providing patient education to alleviate fears and stress
    • Accurate documentations of care provided and medications given, comprehensive handover of patients to Day surgery, surgical ward or ICU
