Christopher Cleuskens

From April 2019 to August 2025, I worked for Channon Refrigeration.

During this time, I worked on a large variety of refrigeration systems for clients in hospitals, cafes, pubs and clubs, supermarkets, warehouse factories, stadiums, and showgrounds.

I was involved in primarily reactive service work, although I had done a fair bit of maintenance and install work.

Some of the equipment I worked on was.

- Cool rooms / Freezer rooms.

- Large-scale cold and frozen storage rooms.

- Self-contained systems.

- Remote systems.

- Large-scale rack systems.

- Multi-refrigeration systems.

- Glycol systems.

- Beer plumbing.

- Air Compressors.

- Ice machines.

- Water chillers.

From September 2013 to April 2019, I returned to Technical Services to take on a more senior role as lead refrigeration mechanic. During this time, my duties were to assist in problem jobs and support the refrigeration team in any way to ensure the restaurants were running smoothly and efficiently.

I was also in charge of running any refrigeration, air conditioning, and post-mix projects when a store was undergoing renovations or upgrades.

I was responsible for liaising with outside contractors to ensure projects ran smoothly.

Also, to organize parts, equipment, and schedule days for transport onto the construction sites.

From October 2011 to September 2013, I worked for LCS Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, where we worked on a variety of mostly air conditioning systems, which varied a lot from high-rise building service and maintenance, domestic high-wall split systems, to restaurant refrigeration systems.

As a technician for LCS, my duties involved.

- Water-cooled package units.

- Cooling tower maintenance and repairs.

- Commercial ducted system, including package units.

- Domestic ducted and split-system air conditioners.

- Ice machines.

- Various refrigeration systems.

From January 2008 to October 2011, I carried out my apprenticeship through Technical Services, which was an in-house team of electricians and refrigeration technicians for McDonald's Australia.

As a refrigeration technician, my duties were to keep the restaurants running efficiently by servicing and maintaining their equipment.

- Cool rooms/Freezer rooms.

- Air conditioning systems, including package ducted, split ducted, high wall split systems, cassette systems, and evaporative coolers.

- Air Compressors.

- Postmix systems.

- FCB Machines (frozen carbonated beverages).

- ABS Machines (Automated Beverage Systems).

- Ice machines.

- Water filtration systems.
