I Joined the Ascott Group in 2003 and moved to Sydney to assume a short 3 month contract position, My role and career with the Ascott Groups has evolved somewhat.

  • Main responsibilities were to rebrand the property to Somerset and carry on the maintenance operation.

  • Handpicked to relocate to Auckland New Zealand to assume the role as Building manager Ascott Auckland Metropolis – property had a chequered past and Ascott was going to lose the building management.


  • Working directly with the general manager and the executive owners committee of Auckland’s top mixed-use development as Building Manager - Maintenance and security Manager, managed a team of 8 personnel. Ascott deemed the operation not to be profitable in 2008 and withdrew despite the owners committee now begging us to carry on.

  • Was instrumental in the handover of the property from Barclay Mowlem Builders
  • Produced property defects list and coordinated the rectification process.

  • Liaised with INTEG (phone systems) – wrote telephone system program.
  • Liaised with Saflok – produced door schedule and designed all master key systems.
