  • Overseeing & directly managing a team of 20 IT trainees ensuring effective support schools while acquiring the technical knowledge necessary for operational success
  • Assist in the development and execution of IT strategies and projects that align with the Diocese's educational goals and objectives: Staff Laptop Package – Deployment of MacBook/Windows Laptops to all teaching, support and administration staff, with aims to address discrepancy of resources

  • I have completed my IT traineeship with the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, based at Emmaus Catholic College, Kemps Creek
  • In this role I supported teachers, administration staff and students, as well as the general maintenance of the IT environment (hardware and network) of the school
  • This role involves: handling all queries and system issues on site (calls are raised through Service Now ticketing system)
  • Managing 1,200+ devices, ensuring licence compliance and software management, user information and account management (through Azure Active Directory and Microsoft InTune)
  • Supporting the AV requirements at school functions such as assemblies, religious services, presentation, music events as well as events held on site for other schools which may require live streaming
  • Supporting the investigation of incidents on site through utilisation of the CCTV system and HALO smart sensors
  • This has required assisting the School Executive team and local Police force in diverse matters such as threats made against the school, violence, and criminal matters
  • During these investigations I identified opportunities to improve the CCTV system and subsequently implemented these changes
  • Purchasing IT equipment in accordance with corporate guidelines including obtaining quotes, recommending the best solution, raising orders and liaising with suppliers
  • This role has required the use of various systems, including the Google and Microsoft suites
