● Ensuring the smooth running of the site and promoting an inclusive, homely environment through consistent practice and collaboration with staff and residents.
● Assisting customers with activities of daily living including but not limited to personal care, Manual Handling, Transportation, Shopping, Community participation, medication administration, Health Care appointments, Domestic and Cleaning Assistance, Cooking, and Meal Preparation.
● Providing person-centred Support as well as Utilising a recovery-focused approach to support customers to achieve their goals.
● Utilising effective communication skills when interacting with customers, colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders
● Ability to operate effectively within a team environment, unsupervised and working individually to support the needs of the customers.
● Being responsive when dealing with concerns relating to risk and customer care and an understanding of mandatory reporting guidelines.
● Completing customer documentation, key worker reports of customers, person centre plans, Risk assessments, incident reports, progress notes, etc.
● Working with the management to identify continuous improvements regarding customer support needs and service delivery
● Facilitating house meetings including residents and their support networks monthly.
● Take and record a client’s temperature, pulse, and respiration
● Help clients with dementia, mobility impairment, and vision impairment with their activities of daily living
● Assist clients in accessing community and social services
● Always maintain the comfort and dignity of the clients
● Assist client with toileting, making a bed, moving in bed, transferring to a chair or wheelchair, and leisure activities.
● Assist clients with their medication under the supervision of a permanent staff
● Assist with personal care, mobility, and use of ceiling hoist systems when required
● Ensure completion of appropriate documentation is recorded in client notes and communication book as required.
