  • Accountable to perform and achieve very complex financial and travel policy work requiring an extensive knowledge of Commonwealth financial compliance and relevant legislative framework to support government decision making while aligning with Defence’s mission and policy requirements
  • Defence Travel policy works within a complex legislative framework in partnership with Groups and Services to manage a strategic program to streamline and improve travel administration
  • The Directorate delivers high quality travel policy advice and education to APS, ADF and Contractors through the provision of the Official Travel Policy and the TravelConnect site

  • During periods of extended EL2 leave, I provided pastoral care for a number of teams across the Enterprise Program Management Office, including 2 months with the Enterprise Project Office Delivery Support team
  • The Transformation Office supported the realisation of the agency’s master plan and transformation agenda; embedded and sustained transformation activity across the agency, achieving transformational outcomes and evolving/maturing capabilities
  • I lead a dedicated data team that provided verifiable information and analysis to identify and support transformation initiatives and opportunities for improvement
  • Applying a data driven approach to determine priorities, the Transformation Office works directly with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive and deliver a program of work that aligns to improving the agency’s service delivery performance
  • We ensured key players were at the forefront of the decision making, provided Executive visibility of the key challenges and issues the service delivery network was facing, and prioritised in-flight and proposed work to optimise service delivery, assessing impact against effort
  • My team’s key role was to: Identify, collect, categorise, and analyse existing agency data (specifically relating to transformation and productivity measures) to enable us to quickly react to analytical information requirements
  • Create clear and concise artefacts for presentation to senior executive on key agency transformation opportunities and potential impacts on productivity, supply and demand
  • Provide insights into key transformation activities by analysing trends and anomalies in actual data
  • Maintain an on-going relationship with key stakeholders to reduce duplication of information and to act as a conduit and liaison to ensure that key information is presented to senior executives
