At Camvet, I have become confidence in my expertise of standard surgical procedures and working up complicated medical cases. I prioritise patient relationships to enhance animal welfare and strengthen pet owner rapport. My proactive approach in preventive care and client education significantly improved pet health outcomes. I have developed a number of client handouts to aid in discussion with owners when managing complicated cases. I am organised, dependable and have maintain stability and confidence under intense and busy working conditions. I always endeavour to continue my learning through CPD, discussion with colleages and research to gain new information and experiences to improve skills to better patient care.
Fostering and care for various species both companion animals and wildlife. Helping to raise funds to support the care of animals. Attending monthly meeting and contact members of the public regarding rehoming and rescues. Ongoing communication and coordination with members of the groups as well as local veterinarians for professional care.
This position involves: animal husbandry including handling, feeding and cleaning housing of cattle and participation in research projects.
Acquiring and reporting results to project manager
Nurse consultations, phone enquiries, and administrative duties. Assisted with surgical procedures, handling animals and cleaning. Was required to have knowledge about veterinary products used and hospital protocols and explain these to clients. Completed basic blood tests and exams. Assisted with x-rays and veterinary consultations. Administered injections.
