Together with my best friend and colleague Elise Bachelor, we created the first resident children's theatre company in Port Hedland.  Our journey began in 2018 with the creation of 'Melted, a musical' written for the school production and which inspired the development of our company.  HATch's most notable achievements to date include:

  • Our official incorporation as an association in 2020.
  • Voted Community Organisation of the Year at the Town of Port Hedland Australia Day Awards for 2022.
  • Securing the only Australian release of 'the SpongeBob Musical, Youth Edition' for 2023.

President, Hedland Gymnastic Club, Port Hedland, WA  2016-2019

Expanded club membership from 80 gymnasts to a sustainable 300 by implementing strategic initiatives such as upskilling qualified coaches, securing funding for equipment procurement and maintenance, and relocating to a larger venue. Strengthened committee leadership by recruiting individuals with governance expertise, ensuring compliance with legal obligations of an Incorporated Association, updating Articles of Association, and providing guidance in financial matters and decision-making processes

Facilitated collaborative efforts with the incoming committee, providing vital support to ensure seamless continuity in service delivery for playgroup members

President, Cooke Point Playgroup, Port Hedland, WA     2013-2014

Implemented robust governance protocols, encompassing the formalization of updated Articles of Association for the playgroup and registration with the authoritative body, Playgroup WA.
