Clare Wilkins

At Clemenger i work individually in retail stores and more all around newcastle on products and campaigns to communicate brand messaging to shoppers, monitor visual material to maintain current plan-o-grams and initiate seasonal updates. I researched market trends and promoted organizational values, products and brand imaging in target market. I negotiate with managers on space for off-locations. I then communicate back via an app to my managers through photos and questions supplied in the activity.

During my time at coles I've learnt most departments including Customer service, Dairy, Grocery, Online and Fresh produce. I spend most of my time in Dairy where i started in night fill, filling shelves, splitting stock off pallets, full presentation and managing my team. I posses strong knowledge of where stock goes all over the store and can quickly name location of stock. I have since moved into more of a managing role where i run the day and complete gap scans, markdowns, code checks, backstock picks and pick lists. I've also worked many hours in customer service where i greet customers with a smile and efficiently serve them and have received many nice reviews, this follows over to my other departments where i assist customers in finding items. My managers will often instruct me to teach new people which has allowed me to develop strong communication within my team and improve my skills. Once a week i assist in the specials changeover where i strip ends of old stock and rebuild them for the oncoming week, I constantly receive positive feedback for my role in ends and am often asked to manage the team building alongside me. I'm a quick learner and work well under the pressure of an everchanging environment. I have the ability to use PDT's (Portable Data Terminal) and computers in the workplace. Over my time at Coles I've built strong relationships with my managers where i am trusted and respected as I'm always willing to help by picking up shifts whenever needed.

I began coaching at Blackerts after training and competing with the club for 2 years but quit soon after quitting gymnastics as the demand along school was too much. In my time as a coach i worked with many young girls aged 4-12 years old to teach them new skills and adjust their technique, i always found a way to connect with the groups no matter the ages. Head coaches relied on me to set up sessions ad obstacle courses to provide the kids with a fun environment for them to find a lifelong love for the sport as i did.
