CLAUDIA GUTIÉRREZ

Industrial Civil Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in project management and direction, quality assurance, management and process control, among others. Creator and director of the National Vocational Training Institute of Chile, which in alliance with the government, academically trained people not formally qualified in trades, actively supporting them in their reintegration into the workforce. In recent years, I participated as a volunteer at a non-profit foundation that serves families living in precarious housing. In this job I was in charge of the construction of vertical artificial wetlands, as an irrigation alternative for these families that did not have access to drinking water. This merit allowed me to obtain a prestigious scholarship from the government of my country, to specialize in a master's degree in urban water engineering at the University of Queensland. In June 2024 I will graduate with my master's degree, so I am already looking for a job opportunity that allows me to work in the industrial or environmental area.

• Research and study of the project "Desalination technologies and use of nutrients from wastewater from the Caboulture South plant and its reuse in agriculture for the town of Wamuran.
• Design and construction of water systems purifying wastewater, through vertical filtration wetlands with feedback to water towers that supply families in camp situation in the Mesana de Valparaíso sector.
• Proposal for the Implementation of Integrated Management Systems for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety at Work, in Transport Companies for Hazardous Substances, under the guidelines of the ISO9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 Standards
• Study and determination of analysis costs offered by the Laboratory of Human and Environmental Toxicology of the University of Playa Ancha.

• Volunteer work, coordinating basic housing construction and vertical wetlands for people living in camps in Valparaiso 2018 to 2021, “Un techo para Chile”.
