Background and Responsibilities

• During my Data Science studies, I worked alongside the Australian mental health research institute Black Dog Institute for my Master's Capstone Project.
• I implemented multiple statistical models and techniques (Hierarchical Bayesian Analysis, Bootstrap Re-sampling and Segmented Regression Analysis) in order to estimate the efficacy of an intervention at a suicide hotspot.
• As the team leader, I was in charge of delegating tasks, setting deadlines and supervising report writing while maintaining open communication with the client and supervisors by presenting regular updates on project status.

• Estimated the average ratio of post-intervention to pre-intervention yearly suicides given the intervention method and the type of hotspot.

• Before moving to Australia in January 2020 to commence my studies, I got the opportunity to be trained as a BI Data Analyst by the #1 health insurance company in the Dominican Republic.
• Collected data from wide-ranging sources.
• Responded to specific BI requests from Sales Department personnel, creating data packets with requested information in easily understandable formats.
• Managed accident metrics derived from raw company data to track policy quality.

• I worked as an independent consultant for small service businesses while applying for an overseas masters in Data Science.
