Summary of Project Experience (Australia)

Rundle Place Funlab & Dining Precinct (Adelaide)

Value: $10 million (Completion Dec 2023)

  • Conversion of a 5500 sqm retail floor plate into a premium 1800 sqm dining precinct, a 2250 sqm entertainment precinct. While managing the Adelaide Team, we produced the Tender and Construction documentation. We provided limited construction services until the completion of the project.

Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre (Adelaide)

Value: $7 million (Completion Feb 2024)

  • Refurbishment and enhancement of five entries into the Shopping Centre as well as a refresh to the foodcourt and malls. My Adelaide team produced Tender and Construction documentation. We provided limited construction services until the completion of the project.

Canberra Centre (Canberra CBD)

Value: $12 million (Completion April 2024)

  • Demolition of the existing 6100 sqm Vacated Target Tenancy. The space was back-filled with 3 no. Retail tenancies & an Entertainment Precinct. The project also included the closure of the 2 open mall ends, realignment of the mall to suit the new tenancy layout and the refurbishment of the adjacent wall and interface tenancies. While managing the documentation from Melbourne, my role included coordination on site, with the Canberra based consultant team and contractor.

Rosebud Plaza (Rosebud VIC)

Value: $21 million (Completion Dec 2023)

  • Demolition of the existing Vacated Target Tenancy & the Existing stand-alone Woolworths. The project included the relocation of Woolworths into the demolished Target, a realignment of the mall & mall entry as well the creation of new tenancies. The old Woolworths site was converted to a Dan Murphy's & BCF. I led a team that produced Town Planning, Tender and Construction documentation. I looked after construction services for the first phase of the project (relocation of Woolworths).

Burnside Masters (Burnside VIC)

Value: $12 million (Completion Nov 2022)

  • Repurposing & Conversersion of an existing Masters Warehouse into a Large Format Retail Centre, with a re-designed facade. The project also included a satelite Drive through convenience restaurant. I produced the Town Planning, Tender and Construction documentation (including Tenancy fitouts) which led onto Construction services.

Home Consortium (Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales & Queensland)

Value: $200 million (2016 - current)

  • Repurposing of the existing Masters Stores into Lifestyle, Homemaker & Mini Shopping Centres. My role as Project Architect began at Concept Design phase and has led to the delivery of 90% of the converted fleet. In my role I coordinated Teams in our Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane offices, while managing project costs for the entire project.

Tarneit Central (Tarneit)

Value: $44 million (Completion 2017)

  • A new Sub Regional Shopping Centre, comprising a Coles, Kmart, Aldi, Harris Scarfe & 40 plus specialties. My role as Project Architect began at Town Planning Stage, through to completion. I led a team that produced the Tender and Construction documentation, which took me on to Construction services to completion of the project.

Kmart New Stores & Refurbishment Rollout (Victoria & South Australia)

Value: $50 million (Completion 2016)

  • As part of Kmart’s Pod System, I led the pod responsible for the delivery of New Stores & the roll out of their new format within existing stores. For new stores, my role was to represent Kmart from Design stage through to Base build Store Handover. For Existing stores, my role was to lead our pod (Builder and consultants) from feasibility to completion of the refurbishment, without the store shutting down for construction.

Lara Village Shopping Centre (Lara)

Value: $24 million (Completion 2014)

  • A new Coles Supermarket, with a dozen specialties and drive through Food offer. My role as Project Architect began post tender and ran through to delivery and handover of the centre.

Burwood One (Cnr Blackburn Rd & Burwood Highway)

Value: $45 million (Completion 2012)

  • A privately-owned shopping centre which consisted of a Kmart, Coles, approx. a dozen specialties and a mini food court. The refurbishment & extension included the relocation of the existing Coles, re-cut of the existing Coles, additional specialty, a new mall, new two level carparking, new food court and restaurant precinct. My involvement began when we were novated to the Construction Team. My role as Project Architect was to drive the preparation of Construction Documentation and manage the Construction phase through to completion.

Burnside Village Stage 3 (Adelaide)

Value $37 million (Completion 2011)

  • A family owned shopping centre which consisted of a Coles Supermarket with localised specialty retail, an enclosed mall and an outdoor mall. Stage 3 of the redevelopment consisted of a new glazed roof atrium mall which provided connectivity to both the existing outdoor & enclosed malls. My involvement began at the design development stage. My role was to control all documentation for both tender and construction phases. An extended role led to coordinating a team to prepare Tenancy Plans for approx. 60 existing Tenancies.
