As Lead Campaigner and Organiser, I:
In 2023, I served as Campaign Manager for Kooyong Votes Yes, the local community campaign for the Voice to Parliament referendum. Kooyong recorded the 10th highest Yes vote in the country, with 59.5% of voters supporting the proposal — one of only 30 electorates to return a majority Yes result.
As Campaign Manager, I:
· Designed and executed the campaign strategy across Kooyong, overseeing all aspects of operations, field, visibility, and communications.
· Recruited, trained, and led a volunteer base of over 800 community members.
· Coordinated a large-scale field campaign that knocked on over 21,500 doors across the electorate.
· Led a letterboxing program that distributed more than 150,000 pieces of campaign material.
· Managed the distribution of 2,100 corflutes across the electorate to maximise visibility.
· Oversaw volunteer mobilisation and logistics for pre-poll and election day activities.
- Managed the campaign of Dr Lardner, which was the most successful independent campaign in the 2022 Victorian state election and the largest ever on the Mornington Peninsula. We secured a 22.4% swing towards the candidate, with 49.3% of the 2CP result.
- Provided overall leadership to more than 200 volunteers.
- Across a short campaign that ran for less than 12 weeks, I oversaw our visibility strategy which saw more than 1.5 million digital impressions, 200+ corflutes, dozens of printed ads in the local newspaper, and the distribution of more than 150,000 leaflets.
- Knocked on more than 3,000 doors in 7 weeks –the most of any campaign ever on the Mornington Peninsula.
- Provided fundraising leadership and advice, raising more than $180,000 in twelve weeks. I was also the lead budget manager for the campaign.
- Managed five staff members to work across visibility and direct voter contact efforts.
- Led on overall campaign messaging and communications strategy, including website copy development, social media design and copy, print advertising, and utilising traditional media through curated relationships with journalists and institutions.
