Connor Ballingall I'm a 27 year old fit and healthy bloke with a huge passion for agriculture I was born and raised and lived most of my life in a rural/ country setting, I love all things outdoors I'm a carpenter by trade and have predominately worked in construction, owning and operating my own company for the last 3 years.
In terms of Agricultural experience I've lived and worked up North on Qld cattle stations as a Ringer, I've also worked on smaller stations around the Riverina district of NSW
I've also worked as a Farm Hand on a commercial beef/ stud farm producing high performing high quality cattle, through selective breeding. This farm had a much more modern day approach to farming using modern technologies and infrastructure.
My passion is agriculture, I have a genuine love for working with livestock and outdoors, its a career I want to pursue and build in long term. all the Agricultural jobs I have done so far I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. a career in the ag industry is something I think about daily and although I do not have long term experience, I make up for in passion and love for the job I would be doing, a genuine care and want to do the best I can at whatever task it may be daily. I love working as part of a team but also enjoy being entrusted with personal responsibility and ability to think independently when required.
The position Advertised is for "Senior Farmhand" although not that yet I can provide long term commitment and willingness to learn every aspect of the job, I'm a fast learner and after many years working with my hands can pick up things quickly, I feel like I can apply my organisational skills, scheduling and management to this role in future while learning all there is to know about working a beef production.
i employed at most 12 full time workers, which meant one of my main priority's was saftey, with a medium size workforce I had to ensure each person came to work and went home safely at the end of the day, this involved carefully assessing each task to be completed then putting a plan in place to ensure it was completed as safe as possible
As the head of a business one of my biggest roles was problem solving, being in charge meant I had to have the answers when approached about it and in a timely manner, not always job specific i was always kept on my toes.

conducted 2 rounds of mustering annually per property.

No 2 days on the station were the same and I loved every minute of it.
Inverness and Rhyola stations are adjoining properties owned by a good friend of mine, at various points throughout the last few years weather I've been quiet or he may have needed an extra set of hands I've worked on these properties. Helping with all manner of station and Farm Tasks. much the same as my more permanent fulltime roles.
Running about 1200 head of Angus and Hereford cattle.
3000 head of first cross and merino sheep.
This property differed from the others as it had the capacity for a larger cropping focus hosting paddocks with full irrigation systems supplied direct from the local Forrest Creek. this required pump maintenance, siphoning and monitoring all irrigation systems.
