MOULDENS HOME APPLIANCE SEVICE CENTER
  • Tasks performed during work experience included: pulling apart and investigating old vacuum cleaners, diagnosing washing machines, dryers and ovens in and out of the workshop
  • I also went out to jobs to either install a new parts or bring the machine back to the workshop to diagnose.

O'BRIENS CABINETS
  • Tasks performed during work experience included: assembling cabinets, cabinet drawers, kick boards and also levelling cabinets, fitting drawers and doors to cabinets as well as aligning the gaps in the cupboard doors
  • Tools used: gas and battery operated nail gun, battery drill and various hand tools
  • I also observed a flatbed cnc machine being used; I was also shown how the computers communicate between one another and the programs the company used.

  • Whilst on work experience I de-nailed timber so it could be reused and handed up to workers that were installing trusses/ facias on a shed.
  • I also helped set up scaffolding and pour a concrete pad

  • When on work experience I was tasked with designing and creating a grinding stand and hanging rack
  • I was also tasked with creating and bracing a trolley that will hold the oxy acetylene equipment
  • The machines and tools that were used were a cold saw, band saw, grinder and a mig welder.

  • While on work experience with this company I helped the apprentice cut and install eaves and set up and move scaffold
  • I was also tasked with measuring and cutting architraves and door jambs
  • The tools that I used were a circular saw, cement sheet cutter, grinder and drop saw

I attained my Forklift licence and operated forklifts daily.

Used AutoCad to design custom plates, custom fire pits, various attachments for machinery and adapter plates for various machinery

in charge of training and looking after apprentices and labourers as well as giving them tasks to complete daily.

Fabricated a range of fire pits, made repairs to some trays and trailers
