Connor Jones

Gold Coast

Summary

Hello,

My name's Connor, I'm 24, and I've lived on the Gold Coast my whole life. I love socializing on weekends, whether that be playing golf or going to the beach to surf or take photos.

I currently work at Emacs as an electrical apprentice. I have completed my first year of TAFE but have logged more than 2.5 years' worth of job cards. At Emacs, I spend my time disassembling and assembling high-voltage electrical motors, including rewinding, replacing bearings, lubricating, and performing general maintenance to extend motor life. Working with high-voltage motors means I regularly rig 20+ ton motors, so I have become highly skilled in rigging and safety procedures.

I also have two years of experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining elevators. I started my apprenticeship at Advance and would like to return to the elevator industry to build a long-term career.
