So far, in my time at Metcash, I have eagerly endeavored to learn as many skills and roles as possible. Some of these various responsibilities included:

• Recruitment: Conducting inductions and walk-throughs for new hires, as well as working with labor hire account managers on-site to select the best candidates from each group.
• Training: Working with new team members on their first days on-site. This training was one-on-one and usually lasted two days. In this time, it was my responsibility to ensure they had a competent understanding of how to complete their primary function (picking/packing), the performance requirements of the role, and the safety standards and rules on site.
• Dispatch Clerk: Controlling stock, as well as being the main point of contact for any issues that the floor staff have. Working with the transport team to sequence orders so that delivery times were met. This was all done using the program DALLAS.
• Pick/Packing: Using an EPJ and Vocollect headset to pick orders in a safe, but timely manner.

My employment with Fox Racing taught me so much about the inner workings of a warehouse, specifically regarding inventory. These were some of my responsibilities:

• Kept warehouse records and updated documentation with the latest counts.
• Performed scheduled inventory counts and supply audits.
• Inspected incoming materials for damage.
• I took part in a project to change the pick path of the warehouse. This involved moving hundreds of skews into new locations, both in the system and physically, without error. This project greatly developed my problem-solving skills, as well as my communication skills.

At my time at the Just Group, I worked in various different areas of the warehouse. These included:

Inventory: Doing physical counts and adjustments where necessary. Checking received stock for quality and compliance. Locating 'missing' stock.

Online: Working with KPIs to dispatch online orders efficiently and quickly.

Receiving: Unloading containers, as well as sorting smaller goods into totes.
