Reliable father of two, trained in hospitality and customer service. Offers strengths in communication, relationship building and problem-solving. Desires to take on a new challenge and further develop acquired skills. I am an organized and dependable student currently pursuing a change in career path, and looking for real-world professional experience.
I provided genuine care and support at all times to meet the needs of the young people at multiple residential houses in the Gold Coast, Logan and Ipswich regions. I built positive and trusting relationships with a large number of young people with high-level needs, many with complex trauma and disorders. I worked closely with and supported the young people, helping them to complete daily tasks, achieve goals, and promote positive behaviour change.
I strived to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism whilst working within a high pressure, sometimes problematic environment. I received regular praise from management regarding positive feedback passed on from happy customers. Unfortunately, I had to resign from this role due to injury.
Delivered fresh produce to Gold Coast, Bayside, Ipswich, and Lockyer Valley customers. I provided a level of reliability and built a strong foundation for repeat business, eventually opening avenues for expansion and contract offers from companies such as Spotless, ALH, and The Star Group.
I absolutely enjoyed the investigatory aspect of this role. I strived to hit and exceed my required KPI targets, often obtaining small personal recognition rewards and small team bonuses at the end of the month.
New to the workforce, I was eager to learn more about the industry I found myself a part of, working my way from washing dishes and food preparation to waiting tables in ala carte restaurants and then into bartending, gaming, and retail management. I moved to Australia where I then started work bartending at the Windaroo Hotel, Royal Hotel, and the Imperial Hotels on a casual basis. I would sometimes work in a retail sales role at their attached and detached bottleshops to pick up extra shifts. I then moved completely into retail sales at the Oxenford Tavern drive-through, and The Beer Garden bottleshops located in Tedder Avenue, Main Beach and Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
