Summary

Hello, I’m Cooper and I’m from a small town called Woodend. I drive a Ford falcon ute and am 18 years old on my red P’s. I went to school at Sacred Heart College in Kyneton and dropped out in 2023 to start my career early. My favourite elective was automotive and I also did work experience once a week every Tuesday for 8 hours at Gisborne tires, I helped service cars and did everything with tires. I spotted and repaired punctures, rotated tires, replaced tires and rims and balanced them using a balancing machine. It was very repetitive so I caught into everything fairly quickly. We all worked as a team in rhythm and it was a great experience.

After I dropped out I worked with a team called Applied Building and Maintenance. We did maintenance projects on schools all across Victoria. Some of the things I did there were build, take down and transport temporary fencing for our compounds, help portable toilets and skips get delivered, demolish rooms and renovate them, fill in holes with concrete, caulk gaps up, painting, a lot of carpentry work, drove forklifts, knuckle booms and scissors lifts, diagnosed the problems with machines when they stopped working, did rubbish runs and a whole lot more. They didn’t have any careers that suited me unfortunately and I want to build a career instead of working at the bottom for my whole life. I tried carpentry but it wasn’t for me, unfortunately that’s the only career they had for me so I’ve decided to look for someone to start a career of my choice with.

Here’s a quick overview of my experience with Applied Building and Maintenance.

Dedicated construction and maintenance labourer with experience at Applied Building and Maintenance, skilled in heavy lifting and equipment operation. Proven ability to adapt quickly and collaborate effectively in team settings, ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship. Committed to continuous learning and achieving project goals through attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
