Cooper Wright

I have had 3 years of paid farm experience, working for my uncle, Sean Allen. During this time my duties included:

- Milk cows (cup on and cup off) in rotary shed

- collect cows from paddocks for milking on 4 wheel motorbike

- Feed cows - silage and hay

- Move silage bales from paddock to rows

- Disc paddocks ready for re-sowing

- Spray weeds with spot spray on tractor

- Assist with drafting off cattle during AI and general separation of cattle

- Collect calves from paddocks

- Fence maintenance (barbed and plain wire)

- Move electric fencing units, and strip fences

Previous to this I helped my Nan and Pa on their farm doing a range of similar activities, on a lesser scale

- Gained experience in milking in Herringbone shed

- Slashing roadsides on farm boundaries

- Assisting my Pa in basic machinery maintenance like pumps and tractors

I am a very dependable and reliable worker.

I have a passion for agriculture, and in particular tractor work, and realise there is more to learn. I am very open to learning more, particularly regarding cattle health, fertilising, resowing, boom spraying as I have had limited experience in these areas.

I am comfortable in operating basic farm machinery and tools, while understanding essential farming practices. I am a quiet person, that takes safety seriously, and ease my way into things, particularly when doing something for the first time. I regard myself as a safe employee.
