Working across the Bowen Basin for various drilling contractors, maintaining various fleets of drills to an extremely high standard to enable the customer to achieve production targets.

Daily duties include:

• Maintain safety culture across multiple drilling contractors
• Knowledge of various customers drill fleet ie, CAT/Bucyrus/Terex, Sandvik/Drilltech and Reichdrill
• Extensive knowledge in diagnosis of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical and A/C circuits
• Comply with customer servicing and maintenance schedules, aiming for service to service performance
• Effectively report defects on equipment and plan outages to support production targets
• Effectively manage breakdowns
• Manage/supervise third party contractors and allocate work to be done on maintenance days

Assisted with multiple new DR412i drill builds in the Sandvik Mackay workshop, this also involved commissioning drills to OEM specifications as well as customer specifications.

Daily tasks included:

• Comply with sites safety standards
• Lias with project supervisor around daily tasks to be completed
• Lias with product support regarding machine improvements or system changes
• Continually finding ways to improve on build quality and standards
• Maintain build time frames to suit delivery dates

I also built, commissioned and delivered the first Sandvik DR412i drill in NSW, as well as assisting with demobilising a Sandvik DR410i for delivery to a customer in WA

Daily tasks include:

• Comply with site safety standards
• Manage third party contractors on a daily basis to assist with customer build specifications
• Lias with the customer regarding build specifics and safety system improvements
• Use of product knowledge to diagnose issue with machine prior to delivery

I also had the opportunity to do bare chassis build on a Sandvik Pantera 1500DPi this included full re-hosing, all new electrical harnessing and new components fitout

Predominantly based at Goonyella Riverside Mine, Maintaining the customers extensive fleet of Excavators and Drills - Liebherr 9800, Hitachi EX5600 and CAT/Bucyrus 6040 and RH340, Sandvik DK25, DK90 and DR412i.

Duties included:

• Follow and adhere to sites safety standards and procedures
• Respond to machine breakdowns and effectively diagnose and repair faults - predominantly drill fleet
• Worked with Sandvik PSA on drill performance and improvements regarding availability
• Lias with supervisor and leading hand regarding maintenance schedule and service day planning
• Effectively build working relationship with production operators and supervisors to effectively execute opportune maintenance with minimal impact on production and maintenance KPI's
• Effectively and safely conduct machine testing to OEM standards to improve machine performance

Maintaining an extensive fleet of field equipment including but not limited to - Bucyrus 1370 and 1570 dragline, P&H 4100A & 4100XPB face shovel, Hitachi EX3600 & EX5600 and Komatsu PC400 excavators, Bucyrus / CAT drills - SKSS, SKF, MD6420B, Sandvik DR460 and Atlas Copco DML

Daily Duties:

• Follow site safety standards and procedures
• Maintain extensive fleet of tier 1 mining equipment
• In depth record keeping and maintenance log through use of SAP portal
• Diagnose and repair faults on various types of equipment
• Coordinate with planning department regarding upcoming equipment shut downs and planned outages
