ERP Pre Implementation Work with Australian Chemical, Energy, and Fertiliser Producer

The Project:

• Support with pre-implementation work for an ERP program for one of Australia's largest chemical, energy, and fertiliser producers, designing profit center and cost center hierarchies to satisfy reporting requirements within SAP.

My Impact:

• Collaborated with client stakeholders to understand reporting needs and system requirements, translating business requirements into SAP configuration specifications.
• Designed hierarchical structures for profit centers and cost centers, ensuring alignment with organisational structure and reporting standards.

Finance Operating Model Review and Future State Design for Local Government

The Project:

• Conduct a functional review of a local government department's Finance function, identify inefficiencies, and develop future state recommendations as well as an implementation roadmap.

My Impact:

• Led master data analysis and performance benchmarking activities, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains within the finance function.
• Facilitated stakeholder interviews to gather input and perspectives, fostering collaboration and engagement in the transformation process.
• Supported the development of future state recommendations and transformation roadmap, providing actionable insights and strategies for improvement.

• Performing preliminary credit analyses to assess clients' borrowing capacity and serviceability
• Identifying and planning solutions which enable clients to meet their borrowing requirements
• Utilised Microsoft Visio to plan, create and produce a visual workflow and step-by-step framework regarding the finance application process, identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.

• Forecast future cash flows and revenues using open purchase orders, along with previously identified opportunities and private investment plans
• Assisted in producing the quarterly BAS statement (by creating GST and PAYG summaries) and quarterly Profit and Loss statement, as well as executed monthly bank reconciliation for the company's various accounts
• Created a share plan (performance and tenure-based), assisting the CFO to distribute shares among executives
• Successfully converted an unpaid internship into an offer of paid employment.
