Japanese visit and exchange

  • In 2016, I was lucky enough to be chosen to be part of a small contingent of science educators from Australia to visit Japan. During our time in Japan, we observed how science was taught from primary to high school, and I also got to teach a science lesson to a group of year 5 students using Edison robots It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. My lesson, got to feature on the front cover on one of the editions of the Australian Science Journal Magazine. Meeting Japanese Science Teachers, set up a connection that paid off 1 or 2 years later, when a teacher I met in Japan came to visit my school, to see how science was taught here in Australia, and he stayed with me whilst in Adelaide.
