• As the most senior manager for Logistics & Warehouse Operations responsible for $200M PA of expenditures on transport, warehousing, and freight-forwarding.
• Scope includes farm milk transport scheduling and operations, inter-factory bulk milk and palletized transport, 3rd party warehousing and all transport to customers (domestic and international)
• This includes timely and cost-effective performance of import and export activities within Australia and management of vendors servicing export markets.

• Reporting to Director of Supply Chain and responsible for transport of palletised freight within supply network.
• This includes accountability for external contractor spend of circa $60M PA, including vendor relationship management and transport planners with primary objective of delivering on all promises to customers and factories in-line with Policies and Procedures
• These services included delivery of product sold to external parties throughout Australia, to any postcode.
• Transport Services Agreements covered ambient and temperature-controlled transport modes.
• Established strong relationships with external partners, fostering trust and collaboration on future contractual engagements.
• Negotiated favorable contract terms for clients, resulting in cost savings and risk reduction.
• Contributed to development of proposal responses for new business opportunities, incorporating innovative contracting solutions that provided competitive advantage.

• Reporting to the State Manager, responsible for the compliant and safe operation of the local pick-up & delivery fleet, depot handling and express freight processing for the Toll Express business in Victoria
• The role included responsibility for depots operating in Melbourne and country Victoria, utilizing local subcontractors, regional agents and internal business units servicing the needs of Toll Express
• Scope included 5 direct reports, 30 indirect reports and 230 waged employees within an operation that generated circa $130M in revenue annually.

• Reporting to the General Manager, responsible for the compliant and safe operation of a national express inter-capital transport utilizing 152 prime movers, 350 trailers & 220 personnel based in capital cities and regional depots.
• Services provided to blue chip express freight customers included network shuttles, short notice express and local distribution of express freight.
• Major customers included the Toll Group, Startrack, PostHaul/AusPost, TNT, & DHL.

• My management responsibilities were initially in specialised dry bulk and general freight servicing various markets and clients
• This included bulk and packaged warehousing, container logistics, general freight, and customer stock management
• I worked with the Managing Director and a select team to re-align the business to achieve double-digit returns on invested capital
• After implementing the new business strategy, I was entrusted with management of the company's single biggest customer operations in Ceduna and Western Victoria
• This included responsibility for teams performing transport, warehousing, container packing and inventory management
• A rail siding loading bulk trains was also managed in Portland with associated services at Laverton, Hamilton, Hopetoun and Ceduna.

Responsible for the safe, timely and cost-effective provision of quarry transport originating from six (6) quarries to locations around metropolitan Melbourne, greater Geelong/Surf Coast and east Gippsland. This operation consisted of generally between 300 and 400 deliveries of quarried rock and sand by internal and external transport resources. These deliveries were managed through the Customer Service Office which performed the client liaison, quarry interface and service scheduling from the time of an accepted quote through to invoicing. Oversight for the activities of a dedicated Driver Trainer, fleet maintenence and subcontractor management were included in my duties.

Responsible for the effective and efficient transport of bulk steel from Production Sites to Distributors and Internal Customer locations throughout Australia by 3PL providers. Overarching responsibility to ensure business operators could operate in a manner consistent with the company’s contract relationships to achieve the Group’s supply chain performance management targets. This was a multi-modal, multi-carrier operation where my role was to be the subject matter expert in the transport arena of a major Optimisation program. Linehaul transport represented expenditure of $80M at that time.
