Work Experience - Year Ten
I want to become a Judge in the future, so attending a law firm as part of very early work experience would give me first-hand insight into life as a lawyer.
My role included reading and organising cases/-files, and talking to clients. I also sat in for part of a meeting with a client in order to see how such meetings are conducted - particularly the questioning. Finally, the highlight of my experience was calling a clerk at 'Foley's List', for the firm's Criminal Solicitor, in order to book an appointment with another Barrister - highlighting my professional communication skills from a young age.
