“Daisy has been leading the IT Test team successfully for several years. She has led the testing efforts for all major and most minor projects and enhancements done by Myer during that time. This includes a who’s who of major IT projects including new POS hardware and software, New Distribution Centre, AKENEO upgrade, WCS Upgrade, OMS Upgrade, Data centre refresh, Delivery options etc. She has been working closely with all the project managers and support teams ensuring that the testing moves forward in the most cohesive manner possible given all the constraints that are thrown up during a testing lifecycle. Testing is the most focused high-pressured phase of IT delivery where everyone’s expectations come to a head. The definition of customer in IT is the parts of the business that have requested the project and are dependant of deliver of a quality on time product. Daisy is front and centre working with all parts of the organisation to ensure that the customer comes first and that IT delivers the best possible product. An example of her communication brilliance is the Myer testing Team Fortnightly Newsletter that is a fantastic communication tool showing the status of all items in testing, completed testing, and currently being estimated. This simple email executed well gives her customers at all levels of the organization a complete picture of how the enhancement they are interested in are progressing.”

“Daisy Walker is the Enterprise test manager (IT) and currently has a team of about20 team members directly reporting to her. This team is responsible for ensuring that the Quality of the software and products (for example: Myer Website, Myerone app, Kronos, Akeneo, Laptop refresh, NDC, Omnipos etc) are maintained within the Myer standards. With the values and standard that Daisy works, she has always been a role model and mentor to the team members. Daisy has great relationship with stakeholders, business teams and other IT teams involved and always work towards the goal of making sure that the customers come first. She is the first one to applaud others on their success and the first one to be there to support if anything goes wrong. Many times, Daisy has gone beyond her role to ensure the project is delivered in a timely manner and in a beneficial way to all parties involved. Having worked with Daisy for more than7 years she has been always very supportive of my career development and has made sure everyone in her team is treated with respect regardless of them being in her team for few days or many years. I hope Daisy will be recognised for her hard work, work ethics and commitment and all the Myer values she holds up so strongly.”
