Dakota Rempel

This position required me to fly to various locations and airports around Australia and take aerial photography of gas pipelines at 1000ft AGL. This job allowed me to gain experience in the aviation work field. I was required to be in the plane for up to 8 hours a day assisting the pilot in command with various tasks such as;

• Refueling the aircraft.
• Reading the weather.
• Flying the aircraft.
• Repairs to aircraft.
• Looking up airports.
• Radio Calls.

This position requires transport of crayfish from Fremantle to various locations in WA including Lancelin, Jurien Bay, Two Rocks and Leeman.

In this position I have:

• Demonstrated safe driving by following regulations and safety procedures, resulting in zero accidents.
• Inspected trucks for malfunctions and reported vehicles to management for corrective action.
• Maintained daily, legible DOT log book and submitted corresponding documents.
• Minimised delays by planning and adjusting routes to account for changing weather and traffic conditions.
• Maximised load safety by balancing, securing and weighing products.
• Loaded and unloaded products at warehouses and customer locations using hand trucks and pallet jacks.

The Paddock is a campsite that runs programs for community groups including schools, youth groups and church groups. I lead and assisted with many camps which have required skills such as team building, effective communication and leadership skills.
